Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform this new, that range is solid.
What You Trade On
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently in the works. That would be a good addition when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package holds up. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it comes down to your priorities.
